Reply: Go into your volume control. It is a speaker icon on the system tray (in the bottom right corner). If it is not there, go to Start, Run and enter 'Sndvol32'. Then choose Mute under Mic. Just play around in there if it is not visible.

Reply: I had the same problem not long after getting my computer. However, the only reading the I have found on the subject stated the a hacker can eaves drop into your home/office with the help of your own audio. Is this true? If so how do you guard your privacy? Thanks for help! Lexis
