Comment: Notron Internet Security said that my computer was infected with a trojan horse. "MHTMLRedir.Exploit". the security response is vague in explaining what it is or what it does. does anyone know what this is or what it does? i do not wish to format again because i just did. is there any way of removing it short of formatting it again?? PLEASE HELP Argue for your limitations and sure enough, they're yours.

Reply: Doesn't seem that vague to me Removal Instructions Because this is an exploit only, there are no removal instructions, since there is nothing to remove. This is a detection for the exploit, preventing the execution of malicious content on your computer. By detecting the exploit, it is prevented from running. ... but by all means format if that'll make you happy Do Not Click

Reply: clean out your Temporary Internet files. I use F-secure and when that exploit pops up it asks if I want to delete/rename/disinfect and the files is always in Temporary Internet files. Good Luck
