Regrettably, it seems that merijn, tomcoyote etc are down again. I had good contact via merijn.org 2 days ago when he was "served" by XBlock but now contact is lost!! However, CWShredder update (1.49.1) is available at majorgeeks.com. Where does he get it from?? Can I assume that once again we are all in the same boat re the DDOS assault??

Yes, I was searching for his site and came to the conclusion also that it was a waste of time.

It's too bad that some other site couldn't carry this program for a backup site to his.

http://www.merijn.org
is ONLINE AND RUNNING!

If you can't reach the site, add the following to your HOSTS files:
216.40.225.12 merijn.org
216.40.225.12 www.merijn.org

And the latest I know of:
"Tomcoyote is suspended at the moment. They nailed his new host and pretty much shut down the server. Merijn.org and Xblock were attacked too and went down, but they're back up at the moment.

This has approached or exceeded $5,000 in damages by now. This is now a federal crime."

Now net-integration forums are down! That's the support forum for Spybot Search & Destroy. :(

Quote from the Lavasoft (Ad-aware) forum:

"And a new wave hit another help forum just earlier.....
The attack has now spread to Net-Integration......

Everyone stand ready and be prepared for the worse."

By gosh, putting that in the host files works! How - I don't know but I can now get to merijn.org. :)

To find the hosts file (using XP Home), I did a search for files and folders. When it shows "hosts", right click and choose Open. It will say windows cannot open this file but will give you the opportunity to choose a program to open it with. Click notepad. Voila!

There may be othe ways also.
