Hi, i was just woundering which anti virus software would be bettter for your PC. I have Mcafee 6.0 but i notice it uses a lot of the system Ram and slows down the computer a lot, i just wanted to know if Norton did the same thing or is it better...?

I have the same program and I had the same problems
So I switched to AVG anti-virus and it works great and secure too.
Its Freeware

That's an interesting question furball,

TBH I think McAfee Anti-virus 7.0 wins hands down because of it's minimum use of system resources, yet pro-active detection of viruses, trojans and mallicious scripts.

NAV is good, but it's excessive use of system memory is mind-boggling. I would recommend McAfee because of it's effectiveness and lower use of memory, but like Kevin The Tech Dude has pointed out, it's really your call.

BTW AVG is also very good at catching viruses since it's updated everyday (sometimes twice a DAY!), but I have noticed a flaw, which prevents viruses from getting quarantined, maybe that's why it's not market leader yet. :S

I have Mcafee 8.0.25 and there is no noticable overhead. you might want to try a newer release.
