This is Apoorva. I am unable to update McAfeee VirusScan Enterprise v8.5.0i It displays an error message as:
"Failed to initialize Common Updater subsystem. Make sure the McAfee Framework Service is running. McAfee Common Framework returned error fffff95b @ 2."

Have you checked, whether the McAfee Framework Service is started automatically and really running.
Also check the Event Log for errors.

Ah, your FrameworkManifest.xml has become corrupted. You have to restore these file from a backup or copy the file from a working computer.
You have to switch off the option "Prevent modification of McAfee files and settings" in the McAfee VirusScan Console. Copy or restore the non corrupted files FrameworkManifest.xml to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\McAfee\Common Framework\FrameworkManifest.xml. Enable the option "Prevent modification of McAfee files and settings" in the McAfee VirusScan Console. Start the McAfee Framework service. Update your McAfee VirusScan.
