Hi, i am having abit of an issue with version 8 of the Mcafee Virus scan. I can get it to work on PC's running Win2k and WinXP without any problems. When it comes to Win98 no go. I have tried this on numerous PC's all running Win98 with the same response. I get a box with a big red cross. The setup file on the disk is a netopsystems file thingy. Would this be the issue or is Virusscan 8 just not compatible with Win98.

That version is not set up to run on 98 only on Windows ME and above . Version 6 and below are compatible but are probably not in circulation. Mcafee is just now releasing version 9 so you can see how fast they develop.

Hey wizard, big thanks for your fast reply. Could you perhaps point me to a document or webpage which states this. I say this because a few people didn't beleive me when i told them i thought that this version was not compatible.
