Mcafee Update Problem

Hello i have a problem with Mcafee 7 Professional. Once i have installed the progam it tries to update, however, as soon as it tries to downloa the update i get an error messeage "RuLaunch has encountered a problem and needs to close....... Send Error Report, Dont send".
I have recently bought a broaodband router and since then i have not been able to get Mcafee Pro 7 to update. Do you think there could be a built in firewall that is preventing me to get the updates?? Thanks
P.S. When i click 'see what is in the error report' it mentions my IP adress
