mcafee sbc yahoo dsl sign on prob.

My brother-in-law just purchased a Toshiba note book. He has the Mcafee suite preinstalled on it, and it won't let him sign on to sbc yahoo dsl. He can access the internet through internet explorer, but again can't sign on to sbc yahoo when mcafee is running. He has Mcafee on two other computers which sign in fine. When he disables the entire mcafee suite he can sign in fine on the Toshiba. I use zone alarm myself and am not familiar with mcafee as a firewall or anything else. I'm sure it is just a simple setting but I don't know what to change or how to get there. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
