as i booted in xp welcome screen active shield notified me of a virus so i loaded into my user account went to scan for virus it found 1 c:\command.exe a generic downloader trojan virus i think it said ok then it suddently exited went to re-click on the system tray menu icon that vanised aswell i took off my pop-up killer software. and tried relading it but when i go to open it,it goes again within a flash wtf is going on its as though it dont like xp home anymore and about 3 hrs ago it was working fine and i havent added any software to my pc

i tried usin FREE AVG Anti-virus and it did the same so i imagine that there is a virus on me machine that affect the command line on me anti virus loading I current avoid XP SP2

david, Try doing a virus scan in SAFE mode and make sure that you update your virus definitions.

Why dont you like Xp anymore? its the most "user friendly" M$ makes....Remove the virus manually and then see if the app will work
