If I already have/pay for McAfee Firewall do I also need Zone Alarm? I just installed it(free version) but realized it does the same thing as McAfee Firewall so I uninstalled it. Even after uninstalling it my McAfee Firewall now shows something called Microsoft VM Command Line Interpreter. Anyone know what this is and should I take it off? If so, how?

Hello Sidney,
You made the fatal error to never make !!!
To use two programs together using the same DLL's and configuration.
By deliting one, you made a delete of some very important DLL's in your system.
Especially with Microsoft VM which mean "virtual machine", this is the Java applets to run correctly internet and open differents web pages you visit in internet.
As this configuration is related to the program internet explorer itself, you have maybe a chance to repair it from the program internet explorer itself...not sure !!
Go to your control panel, program "add & remove programs", find line "internet explorer and his tools", open it, 3 options avalaibles, one of them is "repair", send the procedure, IE will check for damaged or corrupted files and will reinstall them.
Try also to reinstall the winsock2 Dll's which are a part of Microsoft VM.
In case nothing match anymore, you will need to reinstall totally your computer...

Imp,
Thank you for your help. I went to add/remove and I dont' have anything called "internet explorer and his tools", The only thing I have that starts out Internet is Internet Explorer Q824145. I did unintall Zone Alarm but I still have an icon on my desktop for it. It's the icon that once you double click on it, it will install it on your computer. When I first downloaded it I didn't save it to the download file but to my desktop instead. Hope I'm wording this right...I'm sure you can tell I'm not that computer savvy.

You cant run repair on IE installed on XP from Add/Remove. You either have to go to microsoft.com and reinstall from the Downloads section or go to c:\programfiles\internetexplorer\ie6setup.exe and reinstall from there. Either of those should solve the problem
