I am using McAfee Virusscan on Win 98SE. I can’t get email scan to activate. Download scan works, but email scan shows Disabled no matter what I do. Email scan is checked in V-Shield Properties, but shows disabled on the main screen.
Product Version is 5.1 and Scan Engine is 4.1.40.
I could email McAfee but that takes a week to get a reply. I usually can get help here faster.

You won't get it to show that it is enabled, but it is. I don't know why they have it like this but that's just the way it is. It works tho, mine has caught the Exploit.MIME.gen virus twice this week.
