Comment: Hi there. I downloaded a music file and it wouldn't open because I got the error message saying this file is being used by another program or person. So it took me forever to delete it and now when I run AVG antivirus I get a message saying MBR (Master Boot Record) has changed. AVG doesn't say how I can fix this or what change it is. What could it be and why would a file be being used if I haven't opened it? I tried Ctrl Alt Del and I couldn't see any processes out of the ordinary. Could anyone help me here please? I don't want to do anything on my computer incase that music file was a virus. It had a normal .mp3 extention. Thanks for any help :-)

Reply: (edit)I received a virus as an E-mail attachment and that had a double extension.... music-artist.mp3.pif If I didn't have the hidden extensions visible, it would have looked like....... music-artist.mp3 Could this be the case here?

Reply: (edit)Hi guys and thanks for replying. I have checked my folder options and I haven't checked the hide common file extentions so I don't think it's that. I have two XP Pro partitions on one disk and Mandrake 10 on another. I have it set up to boot into XP.
