i dont know whether the issue has been addressed earlier.
my machine is on a LAN and i feel my machine is being intruded upon by 2 particular comps.. softwares like spyware nuker and swat it did not find any trojans. i m using zonealarm personal firewall.my ports 135,137,138 and 139 remain open ..all attempts to close them from active ports have been futile. before installing the firewall i could see the users connected thru these ports .. now i dont see them but still cant terminate the processes using the said ports.
today while checking my event log i noticed the following mssgs repeated:
"The browser was unable to promote itself to master browser. The computer that currently believes it is the master browser is XYZ."
XYZ is either of the 2 machines i suspect.
"The name "userid :1d" could not be registered on the Interface with IP address "my IP". The machine with the IP address "suspect IP" did not allow the name to be claimed by this machine."
plz help immediately .. first tell me some other way to close down ports 135-139 besides active ports.

SpywareNuker is not a nice program - it has spyware. There's a lot of documentation about it at www.spywareinfo.com.

I'm not sure how to advise you about the other issues you have, someone else should be able to help. Or you could try posting on the forum at spywareinfo.com also. If I were you I would uninstall SpywareNuker immediately as it could be part of the problem.

If you search spywareinfo.com for Spyware Nuker, there are a lot of threads about it in the forums.
