Hi, I would really appreciate anyone's time right now.

I had problems with viruses right before this happened. Now when I start my computer it goes through the post screen check and it shows Windows XP loading with the bar, but then it goes to a black screen with just a mouse and stays there. I tried going into safe mode and with command prompt and the same thing happened. I was able to run CheckDsk but I didn't put /F to fix errors. I tried running safe mode w/command prompt to try it again but now it won't load. I also went into directory services repair mode in the F8 menu and it tried to run some type of disk check but it said the file system was RAW. This means the partition is corrupt and I was afraid I lost all my data, but I relized how can this be if it was loading Windows with the progress bar and that I was able to run check disk? I decided that I am going to buy a new drive, install vista on it, then attach my old unbootable C drive to my computer as a secondary drive, so i can then backup all my data from it onto the new hard drive. Does anyone know If I will be able to access my data? And what do I do if i can't? Please, I really need help with this.

Thanks,
Zach
