hey, latly everytime i scan with avg i always find new viruses and the weird thing is they are always the same and i use adaware to get rid of spyware and when ever i scan with adaware i always get a winshow client which i delete and i always find a virus with avg that is called downloader.winshow.A or downloader.winshow.L or any letter in between, i was wondering if anyone knows how to get rid of it or if its doing anything really bad cuz it doesnt really borther me much its just kinda annoying, ive looked on the net about this viruses but i never get any results (hopefully not becuz its so rare) another virus i got which was a worry was backdoor.nc23 which has infected the file/s c:\hp\drivers\keyboard\USB.bat and also the file c:\hp\drivers\ketboard\USB.exe im not sure what to do about those two becuz they sound important (if i delete them will my key board still work?) im not very good at computers so any help is much appreciated :D

Have you gone to Symantec or Trend Micro to see what the removal instructions are? Many times you have to disable "system restore" to prevent reinfections.

Are you updating your AV files? The Downloader.Winshow variants were included in the AVG update on November 14. Are you running a firewall?? If you are repeatedly being infected then something is very sad with your protection.

Disable the System Restore function then Update and run Adaware, Spybot S&D and CWShredder and if the problem persists then run Hijackthis and post your log on this forum - someone will have the answer you want.

You may have to reload the drivers you mention.

Don't forget to re-enable System Restore

Good luck
