Can you get into safe mode?

For windows xp

Go to Start > Run > type msconfig > press enter

for Vista/7

Go to Start > type msconfig > press enter

from the console that appears, go to the startup tab and click on disable all.

you may want to keep your firewall and anti virus enabled s find those enteries and enable them.

Dont worry you can enable everything again later if neccessary.

i am not an expert in virus removal so can only advise on applications that i have used and know are good and safe.

Down, install, update and run the following applications.

Spybot Search and destroy

Trojan Remover

run these and hopefully they will help

Can you disable your browsers add ons and see if that helps

Also do try msconfig it ould be something that starts with windows

Also try the other apps i have mentioned other than the ones you have used already, i can vouch for them to be exceptionally good.

The only last thing i can suggest is going into msconfig and seeing if there are any applications that are starting with Windows.

Start > Run > type msconfig > press enter

go to the startup tab and disable anything that looks suspicious, or post them here. if that does work it would probably be advisable to start a new thread as people wont look at post that have over 2 replies usually.

You may have an unwanted rootkit installed. Try these 3 progs in EXACTLY the order listed and DON'T reboot untill after the last scan
1- rkill.exe
2- tdss killer
3- malwarebytes

If that doesn't cure the problem, try the same again, only this time in safe mode.

2 other free trials you can try are
1- trojan remover

Run them both till they run clean

Some HELP in posting on plus free progs and instructions 7 Golds
