I somehow got the System Tool Virus on my computer. I deleted the files I found from backtracking the shortcut, killed the application, restarted my computer in safe mode and downloaded and ran both malwarebytes and spywaredoctor. Both programs run a clean scan, but when i log back in to normal mode, something disables my Mcaffe anti-virus and spywaredoctor, and my computer runs extremely slowly. I have trouble running all programs (from itunes to internet explorer,) and I've had to manually shut it down numerous times. Can anyone suggest a solution I haven't tried?

I have the same problem , and I see that alot of anti-virus companies create their own Viruses , so that you must buy their Anti-Virus programs , this sucks !

why are we not getting email notifications anymore after the upgrade ?

Malwarebytes will not remove the active System Tools virus you need to get Rkill on to your pc.
Download the version iExplorer.exe save it to your desktop and run.
If internet explorer won't open? try doing it in "safe mode with networking" from your startup menu.
In normal mode run Rkill (iEplorer.exe) which will stop the virus so you can use Malwarebytes.
Now update and run malwarebytes doing a quick scan, remove all that it finds.

Heres what you do

boot into safemode

how to boot in to safemode

download and run rogue killer

Run mbam make sure its updated and do a full scan

mbam download

download ccleaner run and clean your temp files

go to C windows system32 drivers etc and remove the file host

download hostxpert and use it restore a new hostfile

After this remove all the system restore points on your computer and reboot this will make it so it can not come back again
