I keep getting a malicious script warning from Norton which references the file agent.exe which I can find only in the prefetch file. I assume that I can erase this file. Does anyone have any thoughts about this?
agent.exe is not any exe file that is linked to the running of windows/ the system, so go ahead. Although, therea re prolly DLL files running it also affiliated with the malicious script, so run a full scan of the drive and remove all threats.
I'm here to help as best I can...

Thanks Brandon, I'll delete the file and see what happens. I run a scan every week and nothing shows up on that.
