hi everyone...i have a wireless network at home with 2 other computers that are connexted to it. my windows wireless connection status icon in the taskbar tells me that my network is unprotected.. how can i make it a secure network so no one else can roam onto it?
- my router is by speedstreemthanks !

What are you using in combination with the SpeedStream router? Do you have a wireless access point or is the SpeedStream a wireless router itself? (I have a SpeedStream modem/router connected to a wireless access point and wireless cards in a laptop and desktop).
You need to login to the wireless router or access point and configure the WEP encryption or WPA and then configure the wireless card to match the device.
DSLReports.com has a great wireless networking forum here:

They also have seperate forums for the manufacturers like D-Link, Linksys, Netgear etc.

I don't see one for SpeedStream. My wireless equipment is all D-Link and I found really helpful instruction on their website for setting up the WEP and WPA encryption.
Hope that helps.
