Major Virus!! Redirecting webpages, etc.

Specs: Windows Vista
PLEASE HELPPPP!!!!!!! I have been trying to figure out this virus for days now. i have gone through my processes via desktop manager, and went through my regedit and only found one virus called poprock. that virus is gone but i am still plauged by another! it started out with whenever i signed on msn it would atuomatically sign me out now i can sign on msn since deleting poprock. as well now i can click on web pages without being redirected in google. however, i am unable to download anything from the interent, not even open an e-mail with word. i cannot download anything like malbytes. i did transfer malbytes from a flash drive but as soon as it was on my computer and i ran a test it said it failed and now the file is missing. i have avg and whenever i click to do a scan nothing happens. please if anyone can help i would greatly appreciate it! this is driving me crazy!!!!

It may be worth a shot performing a "repair install" on internet explorer. In most versions you can find the repair function in the ADD/Remove programs where IE is listed.

Failing that, you could also try windows update, it would update the system and possibly replace system files

If all else fails then it may be worth switching to another browser. Unfortunately as IE is so embedded into the OS that when it messes up it gets quite difficult to repair.

Google download the same
extract the file
execute the iefix.exe
you will need the Windows XP CD
it will ask for the iexplore.ex_
after inserting the cd
select the CD drive letter.. select i386 folder ..
this will copy all neccessary files and you Internet explorer is

thank you for the relpies! however, i am unable to download anything from the internet or run a windows up date. i am just going to have to format my computer and load vista back on i suppose.
