Comment:

I seem to have a virus on my computer that I am having trouble removing. Every time I hit a mailto: link inside a web page, my internet exporer goes crazy and starts opening 40 to 60 blank explorewr windows. I have no choice but to shut down and reboot my machine.

I ran adaware and Mcafee virus scans with no results.

Any help is appreciated.

Kevin

Did you run these scans in safe mode?
Download ATF CLEANER and Super AntiSpyware and install
Then boot into safe mode( Continually tap the F8 key while booting up)
Run the ATF, Super AntiSpy And your Virus scan
Post back if you need more help
