Specs: Windows Vista
Receiving constant email spam with the above or similar titles purporting to advise that my emails are not being delivered. I haven't sent any emails to these addresses - someone advised that Yahoo have a problem when blocking spam and this triggers the return email but I am concerned it may be a virus. Any ideas? I'd just like to stop it happening.

Mailer Daemon, to my understanding, means that:
You either sent an e-mail and the person your sendt it to is not there anymore, their mailbox is full, or an incorrect e-mail address is used.
If you are only recieving the Mailer Daemon without sending mail, you may have a trojan emailed to you, or a worm copying itself using email.

If thae latter is the case, you need to get rid of it by using a few virus scans.

Is your AntiVirus program alerting you of any malware?

Thanks for taking the time out to reply. Yes it's the latter and yes I run a scan every 24 hours with no mailware flags. Just one of those things?

Download McAfee's Stinger:

Follow the 'How to Use' steps, up to Step #7.

If anything is found, save the scan results to a log file by clicking the 'File' menu and selecting: 'Save report to file'

Then please post the results in your reply.
