Mail clients?

Comment:

I am not too fond of the Microsoft mail clients. That is, MS Outlook and MS Outlook Express for the simple fact that when you get a virus via email there is no way to avoid opening it... It is just ridiculous. For that reason I want to switch to a different mail client that is not susceptible to a virus or a worm. Is there a mail client that someone can recommend to me that is not vulnerable to virus such as the Microsoft products? Give e some suggestions...

Thanks

There are many mail clients out there just go to a search engine and type in "Email Clients", I don't have any certain choice in email clients.

You might like to look at Pegasus Mail.
It is FREE and is said to be very secure in comparison to Outlook and OE.
Also, it is dead easy to set up.

Download from here...

You can leave the outlook express thats what I have and sign up for hotmail and configure it to accecpt your mail from outlook and you can use your current email address to everybody, but it goes to hot mail and they scan it and so you do not have to worry about the attacks on outlook, I like using the hot mail because I wanted to change from outlook too, but did not want to change my email address (on business cards) so I use the messenger too and when people email me thru my MSN acct it goes automatically to the Hot mail acct and when they emil me thru my hot mail acct it also goes in there, I do not even open Outlook anymore. My favourite email client is TheBat from RitLabs (www.ritlabs.com). It is not free but its worth.

I would not depend on the Hotmail scan as my primary
protection, know too many that became infected that way.
Best to have a good anti virus program on your machine
that scans your email as it comes in, keep it updated, that
way you know for sure if it's up to date with virus definitions

I do have a virus protection but this way it goes thru 2, I use to use my Outlook and Norton and guess what I got a virus, Norton's explaination at that time w98 1 year ago, they can't guarantee it with outlook express, but they can get rid of it, thats when I dumped them and went to hot mail, I really do not want to change my advertized email address its on my business cards and all over the place so it is an alturnative for me.
