Check the Driver for Your Network Card if it is properly installed in the Device Manager... Normally you dont get an IP address if the Network Card Drivers are not installed

My PC never Crashes nor does it have Bugs - It just develops random Features at times.

Ok... Did not read your second post... Since it is working fine, forget it... Normally it happens only incase a driver is not properly installed or curropted

but it does not make sense, it was working finr the night before at 11am, PC was not rebooted, turend off, etc... next day, it lost IP, I type ipconfig and nothing gets returned. I think it may have possibly been a virus or something.

the more likley scenerio was that you had your LAN connection disabled.

Well, if it was a Virus then i guess the System Restore would not have worked as System restore does not remove any Files or Viruses... So again, not sure what caused this problem... Maybe just a Good Ol Windows Glitch that happens from time to time...

if it happens again go to start -> run and type this into run:
cmd /k ipconfig /release && ipconfig /renew

this will release your and renew your IP from a DHCP server

"of course I am, I would not have asked if I wasnt." What exactly do you mean by that? All computers with net access can successfully obtain ip information with ipconfig. If you had provided more information in your post, I'm guessing ghostdog wouldn't have felt it necessary to ask for clarification by asking his question..

If you are indeed on a LAN through work, then the obvious thing to do is check with your DA or Network Admin.
