Long list of viruses

October 3, 2009 at 12:50:11
Specs: Windows XP
My computer has always worked fine, but this morning my desktop dissapeared and it kept redirecting me to random sites. I downloaded AGV and I scanned it. Came up with about 20 trojans.

So I did the clean up, took about 2 hours, but all the viruses were gone.

I restarted my computer and tried to do anything, ctrl-alt-del comes up with a message saying "Application cannot be executed. The file is infected. Please activate your antivirus software."

Also, as I said my desktop is gone. Plus the computer randomly restarts, it is super slow, and keeps redirecting me. Here is an example of a site I got redirected to.

simplysupersoft.com/download/dl/trjsetup681.exe and is just a big page of random text.

Someone please help, thanks.

'Sep 2, 2009 ... Free Download Trojan Remover 6.8.1 from simplysupersoft.com ... directs computer users to a fake website where a Trojan virus is installed'

That site you gave contains trojans.
You can download Trojan Remover and run it. It is fully functional for 30 days and should remove that virus.
It should remove the problem so post back and let us know...thanks
The address you gave was to be a spin-off of the real Trojan Remover.

Good Luck

When I try the download, it turns unresponsive, and when I close out of that window, it closes out of all my windows. Any ideas?
