I got the downloader.tooncom virus and I quarantine it and delted the loader.exe file that it uses as a trojan.
Theere is a message box by Norton which keeps popping up saying that the loader.exe is infected. It's already been deleted. I scanned again, and there were no viruses. I'm positive it's not the virus anymore, but more the virus scanner. It keeps thinking that I haven't deleted it yet. HOW DO I FIX THIS. Thanks in advance. The message is, "loader.exe has been infected by downloader.tooncom" or something like that.

Well, I found the iedll.exe file and quarantined it. I wonder why Norton can't find identify the file as malicious when I do the scan. I know for sure the loader.exe file is deleted. I hope the window stops popping up. I'll update you guys. If it still doesn't work, I'll try the link that iceblue gave me. Thanks, wish me luck.

Hey geish
Well, I have to admit you might be in some trouble! If the advice from Norton did not help and you also had other symptoms such as hijacked browser, you might have the same problem that I had. Therefore my question and answers at post 7601 might be helpful. Guys like blender are very knowledgeable and helpful.
Good Luck

I'll check out 7601. For now though, I'm not getting the message anymore. I usually get it right after I connect to the net and IE opens. I'll post again if the message pops up. Thanks a lot guys.
