Follow http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307545 <---. What do you mean by "When i put in disk it does not appear to boot only run.". From bios did you set it to boot from CD drive before harddrive?

yes - i did not follow all the instructions in Microsoft How to recover from a corrupted registry.
Can't I hook the two computers, my pc which im on now and the laptop and run the adaware program to rid that computer of the virus. won't it start then?
