im the kinda person that wants to be totally free of spyware, and i use ad-aware and spybot s&d regularly. i saw an ad for another program and downloaded it, and it picked up some spyware that the other two programs didnt! bad thing is, it wanted me to buy the program before it actually fixed the problem :(

are there any other good, free, spyware removers around? thanks!

btw, dont download a program called noadware ... thats the one which doesnt fix data until you buy it, and ad-aware finds 5 cases of malware in files/regkeys/folders that program created

It sounds like you're using the best already. I'd be extremely leery of a program that wants you to pay for the ability to remove something it finds. There are some free programs that will act as "prevention tools":

Spywareblaster

Cookiewall

Spywareguard

ie-spyad

Another handy program to scan your PC for spyware is Bazooka.

http://www.kephyr.com/spywarescanner/

I use it along with Ad-Aware and Spybot. In fact, twice, it found spyware not located by the other two. Make sure to update Bazooka after downloading and installation.

You most likely infected your system with more spyware. As others have already stated Spybot and Ad-Aware are already 2 of the best programs on the market and are free.

I had a client that did just as you have and it infected him worth a ton of crap and he had already paid for the software. He had to pay me to clean up the mess. Money was not a problem for this person though.

You might want to go and download HiJack This and post a log file.

You got the answer !!! best program is SpywareBlaster.... this freeware is a wonderful program to avoid any incoming spyware or malware into your system, you just need often to check for new update, actually the program protects against 900 differents signatures.

awesome, thanks for the info guys!

im very careful ... i installed noadware, then scanned using the other two programs BEFORE i ran noadware. i cant stand it when programs say they remove adware, then give you something just as bad ... i wonder if the program actually does detect adware, or if it just makes stuff up so you will THINK its doing something
