Reply: Someone who has your E-mail in their address book has the KLEZ virus, it's one of it's tricks. Keep your AV and Windows prog up to date, and be cautious of E-mail's etc.

Reply: I get alot of those auto emails about the klez-worm too. From an account that I dont use to send from so I know it didnt come from me. My guess, there is probably someone who bought my email address on a mailing list for advertising (spam). They had the worm and now I get replies from all over the planet. About 3 per day avg. The klez is very complex from what I read. Builds its own SMTP service and much more. Yikes ...scary stuff

Reply: You need to know which variant of Klez you have. It's probably Klez H. This seems to restrict its activity to sending spoof emails. It is let in by a fault in Internet Explorer and Outlook or Outlook Express. If you go to the Microsoft site you can download a patch for IE and an update for Outlook / Outlook Express, which stops Klez H being able to get out of your computer. I doubt if you'll ever get rid of it from your computer. None of the antivirus packages I've tried can even detect it, unless I deliberately infect a file with it and hold it under their noses. Even then, they are unable to kill it. Norton, Kaspersky etc only give you bulls--- about it - they know it's got them licked. My advice is to ignore dangerous suggestions involving tinkering with your registry etc. Leave the beast where it is and simply stop it getting out.
