Hello,

is there a way to kill the anoying "windows live today" popup windows, that comes together with "msn-messenger".

Apreciate your advice;

Hi Patrick,

I agree, the windows live pop-up after you load messenger is a pain in the rear.

Fortunately there is an easy way to stop this.

After messenger opens expand the contacts page and you should see options lined across the top (file, contacts, actions, tools, help.)

Click on "tools" then click "options", in the left pane click "general" and here you will see the start up options.

To prevent windows live appearing uncheck the box that says "show window live today after I sign into messenger". Click "Apply" then "ok" and from here on in the unwelcome page won't load anymore.

In this page you will also see the option to prevent messenger starting of its own accord when you start your pc if you wish to do this also.
