A couple days ago, i had a virus from kazaa that i had deleted. But an after affect of the virus is that my desktop's icons are all messed up! for instance, my aol icon has a folder icon, my winamp icon has a folder icon, etc. Email me if you want me to show you what it looks like. It would be greatly appreciated if you helped.

I doubt this is a virus
I had it happend to be before alot of times.

I just formated and reinstalled.
IF you want to fix it, find a program that can restore your icons.

or, try rebooting see if that helps.

hello
you dont need to reformat.
all you have to do is repair the icon shell cache. you can d/l twaekui for free and use repair icons easy as that.
have a nice day

FYI-Kazza contains spyware but doesnt contain virii.

The virus if you have one came from the person you chose to download something from.

Search for and delete ShellIconCache which will be in the Windows folder then restart the pc. When you restart a new ShellIconCache file will be recreated. See if the icons are proper then.

I fixed a computer with a similar problem by re-installing the video driver.

You people are stupid! If you are affraid of silly viruses, don't use KaZaA.

It's like, getting a desease after sleeping around without condoms and complaining about HIV.
