I read this and just copy it here:
"You could write a book on KazaA and it's underhand ways! They brought out the KazaA Lite but that makes no difference. There's now two known worms on this network, Benjamin & KWBot, the latter having backdoor trojan capability - good luck with a never ending task!
Just to bring this up to date, another worm on the network has been reported W32/Surnova-B (and similar variants called Win32.Supova.F) that again disguises itself as enticing applications such as a Windows XP key generator on Kazaa. When a Kazaa user downloads and executes the file, the worm tries to spread itself using MSN Messenger and through Kazaa"
So be careful (for some people that find KaZaa irreplaceable...)!

Kazaa can be dangerous but I suggest putting on the filter no potential viruses... It wont show you almost any software but hey if that is the price you pay; or look for names you know

Kazaa users are exposed to that stuff no doubt about that!Kazaa appears to be the favorite target of the virus/worm writers. Can anyone blame them for that?Probably not,it would be hard to control every file, and the behavior of every user. But I really don't like the Brilliant Digital program that they bundle into their downloads!!!I do blame them for that.I suppose that Brilliant Digital is listed in the waiver from kazaa. But anyone that has read the anchor desk articles on ZDNet will know what kind of slippery chacters I am talking about. And a piece of free advice for kazaa users;try using Spybot or Adaware if you want to use kazaa. These two programs can get rid of adware that may be part of kazaa usage.all the best,JB
