Comment:

anybody use kaspersky around here?
i have some questions about the proactive defense they use.

it seems that kaspersky detects a few hundred "threats" when i scan my pc, marked under the name of "riskware: invaders". problem is, 90% of those files that it detects are runing processes, some of which programs im using. i know they are not viruses and i read that its something the proactive defense does, but i would like to know which files are actually riskware and which are not..im trying to avoid a mass google search of the hundred and thirty something files that i dont recognize..anybody ran into this same thing?

A little Googling never hurt anyone - what is this, KAV6?

From their FAQ:

Riskware software that can be risky for the user (FTP, IRC, MIrc, RAdmin, utility of remote administration)

If you find the feature annoying, consider disabling it, or try configuring things to your liking - there are plenty of options available, as well as an extensive help file
