Solved Kaspersky PURE Total Security 2.0 - not installing in my W7

Specs: Windows 7

I just purchased Kaspersky PURE Total Security 2.0. I downloaded the file ok, but when i run it to install, I keep getting the 'installation failed' error. I ran the rescue tool, rebooted, tried to install again, and still the same. I am so annoyed an frustrated. Before this, i had the previous 2012 version that expired yesterday. I deactivated my firewall and removed the free McAfee SW i had in my laptop before tying to install this. Can someone please let me know what am I doing wrong.. and how can I fix this? Thanks!

Never mind! :). After a nap, I realized I should have uninstalled the old version first. I did that and tried again.. worked like a charm now.
