Kaspersky IS Can''t Even Detect This Virus

Toshiba / Satellite a25

Specs: Windows XP, 2.4Ghz/512mb
I discovered there were viruses on my laptop after the Nod 32 Esset AV license I had on it expired. I then went online to review many AV software before I eventually chose Kaspersky Internet Security which I downloaded and bought the license outrightly.

After installing the KIS, on my desktop pc which I scanned effectively well ant it discovered a lot of viruses and either heal or delete them. I then updated it from their server before I now ran aother thorough scan which identify and removed some viruses again. I did the same thing on the laptop and it caught several viruses. To be double sure for the laptop, I removed the hard drive and used my external mobile drive case to use on the desktop and scanned it well.
But to my surprise, there are still traces of virus on these systems, I now realized that the more I connect the systems to the internet the more their behavior go worst; like the virus controlling the mouse itself, launching the internet explorer and freezing the system intermittently. I have the kaspersky Internet Security up to date telling me there's no problem at all.

Someone should pls help me out!
