This worm keeps poping up in the systray coming and I've tried to get rid of it with Ad-Adware SE, McAfee virus/Spyware, SpyAxe, Ewido, CCleaner, Spybot, cwshredder, Trend Micro, Panda, and smitrem.

I've checked numerous fourms, but none of the normal fixes i've looked through have solved this common problem.

I've deleted a few suspious things using HijackThis, but some of the files I couldn't find info on, so I left them. Would you like me to post Hijack log? Is there something specific I should look for?

download this program Spyware doctor
http://www.pctools.com/spyware-doctor/download/
trust me it detected some stuff that ad-aware, spybot, and so on did not detect. If it finds it then it will tell you where the files are located so you can remove them manually
or you can buy so the program can remove it by it self

Mess with the best, die like the rest!!!!

Freeza, You'll need to delete spyaxe. Go to start>control panel>add\remove programs>scroll down to and click spyaxe>add\remove.Reboot the compouter

Then download Hijack This at this link http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt/ then place it into a folder of it's on, such as C:\HJT, so that back up copies can be made and not clutter your desktop or other folders and the backup copies of deleted items can be easily located if needed.

Once saved double click HijackThis.exe, and press "Scan". When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
Press that, save the log, Ctrl-A to Select All, and copy its contents into the text editor at this fourm.

Do not fix anything yet unless you know what you are doing. This is a powerful tool that can crash the computer if used improperly.

Text editor or comment box on this forum. It is the box you type your message in.

If you want to try this it should stop spyaxe long enough to get your post made.

Reboot into safe mode by following the directions at this link Safe Mode and when the option screen appears select "safe mode with command prompt" with the arrow keys, then enter. Type "del c:\windows\system32\svchosts.dll" without the quotes(note the space after del), then press ok or enter.Restart the computer.

Freeza,Download this cleanup tool that we'll run in safe mode later. ccleaner to clean out all your temp files. Make sure there is not anything in the recycle bin that you need as ccleaner will delete recycle bin items unless checked not to do so. Run Ht again, close all browsers and windows except HT, then place a check to the left of the following items and press "fix checked".

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = file://C:\DOCUME~1\CHANCE~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\sp.html

O23 - Service: Security Agent (scagent) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\system32\scagent.exe" start (file missing)

Reboot into safe mode then set the computer up to view hidden files. To do so go to start>control panel>foldeer options>view tab>scroll items and:

1. tick the circle beside "show hidden files and folders".

2.Uncheck the box beside "hide extensions for know file types".

3.Uncheck the box beside "hide protected operating system files".

Then press apply>ok.

Now navigate to the following files and right click/delete if found:

C:\WINDOWS\szchost.exe

C:\WINDOWS\System32\uznfypnj.exe

C:\WINDOWS\System32\ocxzhxxq.exe

C:\WINDOWS\System32\bofob.exe

C:\WINDOWS\System32\dihj.exe

C:\WINDOWS\System32\vvxiob.exe

C:\WINDOWS\System32\w?nspool.exe

Then do a search for this file "neomonap23.exe" and delete it if found.

Next run ccleaner then post a new HT log.

Freeza,Download Spysweeper Free Trial

Install it using the Standard Install option. (You will be asked for your e-mail address, it is safe to give it. If you receive alerts from your firewall, allow all activities for Spy Sweeper)

You will be prompted to check for updated definitions, please do so.
This may take several minutes

Click on Options > Sweep Options and check Sweep all Folders on Selected drives. Check Local Disc C. Under What to Sweep, check every box.

Click on Sweep and allow it to fully scan your system.

When the sweep has finished, click Remove. Click Select All and then Next

From "Results", select the Session Log tab. Click Save to File and save the log somewhere convenient.

Exit Spy Sweeper.

Post the log from Spysweeper.

These lines are from the trojan, once you run the above scan ,run Ht, then close all windows and browsers and remove them :

O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [MOJNPluginSrIvcs] neomonap23.exe

O23 - Service: Security Agent (scagent) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\system32\scagent.exe" start (file missing)

Post another HT log along with the spysweeper log.

Hello.

I discovered this tread through google. I have tried just about everthing I have stummbled upon. I am a little worried to try "HackThis" as I have never used it before. Before I try "Spyware Doctor", I'll let you know what I have been using to fix this problem so far in hopes that I am not destroying my computer. I believe that this thing wandered into my computer through "SpywareStrike". And now I can't get it completely out.

Currently I am using "KillBox" and it so far has destroyed everything except the files "mssearchnet.exe" and "mscornet.exe"; I found both in "c:\windows\system32\". For some reason "KillBox" will not delete it. When I try to manually delete, I get an error box informing me that it can not be deleted because another person or program is using it.

If someone can please help me, I would be so appreciative.

Thank you.

To delete Mssearchnet.exe you need to exit all antiviruses because they are "using" them and then you can manualy delete them but remember to re-activate you antiviruses after
