What does it do? How do I get rid of it, permanent-like?
No matter what I do, I can't get rid of this stupid little bugger. I like itunes. I wish I had it installed on this computer. But since I don't have it installed on this computer, I am not happy that it shows up every time I start Windows. I kill the process, delete it and then go through the registry removing every instance of "itunes.exe" and everything seems fine. But when I come back to the computer later, the damn thing is back. Sometimes if I search for "itunes.exe" the only thing it comes up with is is a .pf file in C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch and other times I find "itunes.exe" in, I think, C:\WINDOWS\system.
excluding the reg entries for the search history and startup these are the entries I found that referred to itunes.exe: HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\OLE HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-18\Software

It's OK, AVG detects it now so everything should be fine... Thanks anyway, though. I also had trouble with something called MediaAccK.exe or something like that and something that keeps trying to connect to neopets.com (I share a computer with my younger siblings). I think they may all be related.
A little searching on the board yielded some solutions.
