Hya fellow AV sufferers
Many people know about the fake Microsoft emails with the virus attachment.
I'm running OE, PoP3/SMTP, heck, I'm getting 12 emails a day from:
@support.ms.com
@technet.net
@odsr.microsoft.com
@newsletters.microsoft.net
@newsletters.ms.com
@bulletin.msdn.com
@newsletters_msdn.com
@confidence.com
@confidence_msn.com
@advisor.microsoft.comThe Sender headers vary and are combinations of, MS Corporation, Microsoft Corporation, MS Public Assistance, Microsoft Technical, Customer Services etc etc.
The Subject lines all differ and are combinations of MS Critical Patch, New MS Security Update, Microsoft Security Pack, Latest Internet Update etc etc.
The attachments are all 106 KB exes and all differ in name but are all the Worm/Swen A (according to AVG).
Fortunately I'm not infected since I delete without running the exe, blocking sender doesn't work as there are usually 12 - 16 random characters before the @ symbol.
Does anybody know how to stop these emails? Or, is it time for a new email address?
Bill.

Just keep deleting. Blocking won't do a thing. That is all you can do. The senders you see are not the real ones and even if you knew, be a waste of time to deal with them.
