ISTsvc VIRUS!!

Can anyone help me get rid of the ISTsvc virus? AVG cannot eliminate it and neither can I get rid of it manually. I am a novice at this so could someone please provide a basic explanationas to what software I need and what I I have to run in order to get rid of the problem. Thank you!!

ISTsvc I'm pretty certain is not a virus.
If you were to get the Program HijackThis from http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt/ and look at a logfile you will find the entry:
