There is a suspicious folder in my program files folder that cannot be deleted and whose files seem to keep "re-creating" themselves. The folder tree is as follows:

c:\Program Files\Windows NT
   Accessories
      ImageVue
      wordpad.exe
   Pinball
      pinball.exe
      dialer.exe
      htrn_jis.dll

The filenames are those of legit files but are sitting in this odd folder. Each time I delete a file, it reappears within seconds. Also, deleting each folder gives me a Sharing Violation error.

Has anyone experienced something like this before?

Thanks in advance!

That dialer.exe seems not only to be suspicious, but out of place. What purpose would that serve in that folder. Have you updated your Anti-Virus software? Have you ran Ad-Aware (www.lavasoft.com)? If not, I'd start there and then post an update after doing so.

I have just done a clean install of Win XP sp1 Home edition. I have the same files also. On this computer that I'm using here Ialso have them.

Nothing to be worried about, I pretty sure that is what XP uses for the modem dialup connection for you ISP.
