When browsing, I have noticed a 15 sec delay after typing form input until the form is submitted. Recently cleaned up spyware using ad-aware. Currently running PCcillin and ZA pro. Scanned for trojans using Anti-Trojan 5.5. found port 1025 open. ZA log shows ICMP packets being blocked, packets sent at 62 minute intervals ALWAYS at :44 seconds ....have CommView trial ver, but am hesitant to unblock & trap outbound ICMP packets for fear of reply consequences, your comments/input would be appreciated.

Bones, if it were me, I would not hesitate to block any outgoing ICMP packets. The consequences of not doing so, or at least checking them, far outway any benefit. This is especially true since you use Kazaa. Take care and all the best.

Do you mean the hesitation is only when submitting forms? If so it could be because you are at a secure site (https). this does take a bit longer, also all the protection you have running could possibly be scanning to make sure there is no virus activity? this is purely a guess... BUT if this is happening while just normal browsing it could be a number of things... #1 being that "LoadQM" is running in background, i have found this on MANY PCs & have been thanked numerous times for removing it! it is NOT needed & definately at the top of my list for nusiance programs! BTW i see capt referring to you using what i call "The KAZAA Virus-Spreading Network" if you are using it I am sure that you are aware of how many people get viruses using it? Just be careful what & where you DL from & keep AV Up To Date! Hope this helps A2Z
