That is a very broad question and depends entirely upon your network and target domains....Remember, packets are recompiled at the target, so, if you've chosen to use an unsupported encryption method, such as SSL or TSL as your transportation standard, then you'll find a lot of targets reject or even drop your packets, altogether.

S/TSL is, of course, more secure, but it must be supported by your target, else it's akin to somebody sending a letter, to you, written in Madarin (obviously, this metaphor doesn't hold true, if you speak Mandarin).

So, what, exactly, are you asking?
