Is my trojan virus gone?????

Last week my computer found the trojan virus on my computer. I finally found the file and deleted it. Is it gone now??? Also, how could I find out what form of the trojan virus I have/had. I checked my antivirus activity log and all it said was that a trojan virus was found. Thanks a lot for any help you can give

I do not know how you find out the virus type/name. I would now go to several websites and use the free antivirus scans. This is just to make sure everything is clean. Symantec, Trend Micro, Macafee, Panda all have free scans. I would also run a trojan scan either with a 30 day trial from Wilders.ORG, WEBATTACK or CNET Downloads TDS 3.21 is considered to be the best by several people. I use Agnitum's Tauscan. A free one is SWATIT from LOCKDOWN.CORP. Take care and all the best!
