I happened to notice this last week that all my HARD DRIVES had Sharing TURNED "ON". I thought, maybe I turned it on by mistake, so decided to turn it off. Got a prompt, selected YES & I turned it off manually for each drive & I believed the problem was solved. But, after every reboot, Sharing gets activated automatically. So I decided to read the info in the prompt carefully. This is what it reads - http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/2204...

These are the preferences that get set automatically after every reboot- http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/98...

Is my computer's security compromised? How do I turn Sharing OFF FOR GOOD?

This is normal. Administrative (Default) shares should be left alone.
