Specs: Windows Vista
I installed panda internet security, bit when i tried to uninstall the program, it spread and attached itself to my registry. i got some of the programs out but there are still some traces remaining. It has been two weeks since i can't get on the Yahoo to check mail. If i do get to check my mail, an error message shows up telling me of an HTTP error code. If i try to get on a site and get there, if i see other information that would send you to another page, it would take a long time to load and the page would turned out to be and error message stating that the page was reset while trying to load.

Download Hitman Pro 3.5. from here then reboot into safe mode (F8), and do a scan to see if it finds anything. As for the internet problem, can you even get the home page of your browser (example: is the first page that loads when you click on Internet Explorer, or Firefox)?.

If not, check your proxy settings, as some viruses/malware screw with your settings so you're forced to use a proxy. You can check this in Firefox by going to Edit>Preferences>Advanced>Network>Settings, and make sure it's not set to use "Manual Proxy" or "Automatic Proxy Configuration", in Internet Explorer, you would go to "Tools" then "Internet Options", "connections" and then click on the "Advanced Tab".

I hope when you uninstalled the PIS, you replaced it with another Security/AV program?

Here is a Panda Uninstaller utility (this is for the 2009 version), link to the downloadable uninstaller file is under the *Solution section here:

Just another stupid saying...
