Specs: Windows XP Home Edition
IE is infected!!! No websites will open...every time I go to internet I get a white screen with the words " Internet Explorer Warning this site may damage your computer" also a bunch of pop-ups from "Antivirus Software Alert". I have MBAM installed but cannot run it or any other file because it says they are infected. I downloaded Spyware Doctor onto thumb drive. It saved it onto desktop and said would immediately run upon clicking finish but I guess the spyware blocked it too!!! PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!

The instructions under "Automated Removal Instructions for Antivirus System Pro using Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware":at the link below should be of some help. You may need to download Malwarebytes' onto a thumb drive using another computer then transfer it to your infected computer and update it first.

At the link I provided in my first reply follow the instructions under:

How to start Windows in Safe Mode
When following the steps in the above tutorial, select Safe Mode with Networking rather than just Safe Mode. When the computer reboots into Safe Mode with Networking make sure you login with the username you normally use. When you are at your Windows desktop, please continue with the rest of the steps.

4.This infection changes your Windows settings to use a proxy server that will not allow you to browse any pages on the Internet with Internet Explorer or update security software. Regardless of the web browser you use, for these instructions we will first need need to fix this problem so that we can download the utilities we need to remove this infection.

Please start Internet Explorer, and when the program is open, click on the Tools menu and then select Internet Options as shown in the image below.

i have the same exact problem with IE.. it started last night, and its driving me nuts! i cannot access anything on my computer.. tried installing a software i bought this morning at the store, and guess what.. wouldnt let me install it.. then it finally "installed", and said it wasnt done correctly or that something wasnt installed side by side.. whatever any of that means.. but i cant do anything at all on my computer now, and i have all sorts of small windows popping up saying that something or someone is trying to do something to my computer.. something like " banker.fox.a " or something, and says that this program and that program wont work.. and everytime the window pops up its a different program its saying wont work and it always has a 32 in it.. like "rundll.32".
but the thing is.. i cannot access the internet so i cant go to any sites that might help me..
