for a few weeks now i have been getting re-directed to ad websites when i open links, it seems to specifically happen when i open links from google but has also happened from other sites. i have pc tools internet security and do regular full scans, have also used eset internet security and regularly run ad-aware and uniblue spyeraser but none of these have been able to fix my problem. last few days have also been getting internet explorer crashes, have upgraded to IE8.0 but this hasnt fixed the problem. was just wondering if anyone could offer any suggestions as it is really starting to bug me now and i really dont want to have to do a clean install due to the amount of programs i have installed and data stored

hi, thanks for the reply, i have been using tune up utilities 2009 registry cleaner regularly and also tried registry mechanic about a week ago to see if that helped, but no luck. and my antivirus/ firewall updates daily and is definatly working
