Hi all,
I've read a few of the posts here and it seems like you all know what you're on about.I'm trying to fix a computer that whenever you start Internet Explorer it grabs 100% of CPU usage, a page won't load IE just stays blank.
I've installed Firefox and this doesn't have any problems.
I assume it must be some kind of Hijacker or Virus of some description but nothing i've killed using Hi Jack this has fixed the problem.
AVG and Trend Micro scans are now running clean but did pick up a host of nasties originally.
I hope someone can help, it's been driving me nuts.
Thanks

Windows XP comes with Internet Explorer 6. Microsoft has made IE part of the core operating system. If you think IE is screwed up, and want to repair it, you must use the sfc command:

Thanks John, i've installed IE7 so thought it should be good as new. The same problem is still there though. A page won't load yet CPU usage goes up to 100%. Something else must be using the CPU becasue Internet Explorer is doing nothing.
Any more ideas?
