Specs: Windows XP
I seem to have picked up a virus. I ran a few Anti-Malware tools that caught a bunch of adware and 2 or 3 trojans, however, since i got the virus, i havent been able to connect to the internet through YIM, Internet Explorer, Xfire ingame web, or Google Earth. However, i got a copy of Firefox AFTER the virus attacked, andit works fine, (thats how im typing this message). I got the virus while browsing a forum, clicked on a link and it redirected me(i think) and then i had a window open claiming that it was doing a virus scan (pretty sure it was DLing malware). anyone know what happened and how to fix it?

Try Combofix - read instructions carefully.

If that won't help:

I now need to know some actual information about your PC, startup entries, processes and services.

Please do the following:
1) Download this file:
2) Unzip it and run HijackThis.exe
3) Click on "Do a system scan and save a logfile" button
4) Post log file here.

If Combofix will cure your PC do not post it.
