Reply: (edit)You will most likely need to post a Hijack This log so that the files associated with the trojan can be identified. You can download Hijack This (newest version) at this link http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt/ then place it into a folder of it's on, such as C:\HJT, so that back up copies can be made and not clutter your desktop or other folders and the backup copies of deleted items can be easily located if needed. Once saved double click HijackThis.exe, and press "Scan". When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button. Press that, save the log, Ctrl-A to Select All, and copy its contents into the text editor. Do not fix anthing yet. Let someone review your log.

Reply: (edit)First move the HiJack this into a folder of it's own, the temp file that it currently resides in will have to be emptied to get rid of the trojan that you have. Just go to start> my computer> local disk (c:)> file> new> folder> click a blank spot on the screen> right click the new folder> rename> type in HTJ. Then download a new copy of HT and put it in that folder. Update your antivirus, adaware se and spybot then reboot into Safe Mode and run eack of them. Run a HT scan and delete the following items: R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/ie/defaults/stp/ymsgr*http://my.yahoo.com R1- HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/ie/defaults/su/ymsgr/*http://www.yahoo.com R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/ie/defaults/su/ymsgr/*http://www.yahoo.com R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing O2 - BHO: (no name) - SOFTWARE - (no file) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {C5183ABC-EB6E-4E05-B8C9-500A16B6CF94} - (no file) O2 - BHO: Search Help - {E8EAEB34-F7B5-4C55-87FF-720FAF53D841} - C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Temp\MvuIg.dll O2 - BHO: (no name) - {FDD3B846-8D59-4ffb-8758-209B6AD74ACC} - (no file) O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AlcxMonitor] ALCXMNTR.EXE O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WT GameChannel] C:\Program Files\WildTangent\Apps\GameChannel.exe Used for gaming delete if not used
